B2B: DIY No-Sew Ankara Maxi Skirt!

Hi Lovers! It’s a new month and my mom’s birthday! Woohoo! July babies, let the birthdays season fall on you all! Happy new month guys. May we live to witness more of it, Ameen!

Yeah, so this post is all about a simple B2B project, how to make a make-shift maxi skirt. LOL at make-shift. Yes na, an alternative maxi-skirt in case you may get to have this cute piece of fabric that is hungrying you to wear which you haven’t sewn and also, no tailor around, you can easily find a way to make it happen jare! It’s quite simple and very easy. Oya let’s get to work.

So you would be needing a piece of fabric of course, lots of safety pins, a scissors (optional); in case you have to cut anything on the fabric and a wide tummy belt.

The materials for the DIY

Firstly, fold the extreme edges of the fabric so that they overlap just like it is in the picture below;

Then flatten the overlapping folds and hold together with a safety pin like it is the pic below;

Repeat process till you get to the end of the fabric

Straighten out and flatten each pleat of the skirt and wrap around your waist. Hold firmly with the tummy belt and VOILA!

It was a Dashiki affair! The print of the  Ankara material I used is called Dashiki or Angelina.

Thank you guys for reading. I hope you have learnt something new from this post. Do not forget to try it out and share your results. Bye and be good till next time!

P.S: We be counting down to Eid! Yaay! Oh ye non-faster Muslims, cover ya faces with 20 yards of wife material! LOL.
